  • Nicola Bird

    FOUNDER

    Nicola has trained in a number of specialties including a BSc and MSc in Psychology, Transformational Coaching and Non-Violent Resistance,

    She is an author, speaker and a multi-passionate entrepreneur (she is also the founder of A Little Peace of Mind and The Floral Project) and was diagnosed herself with autism at the age of 51.

    Most importantly of all, she has three children who are the inspiration for The Sophia Network; creating a future where all children can thrive.

    Nicola runs our Turning Point Program and Living a Committed Life Book Club.

  • Bea Bird

    ADVISOR

    Bea is the youngest member of the Advisory Group at 16 and represents the views of the young girls and women affected by self-harm by bringing her perspective and advice to our strategy.

    She has personally overcome many challenges (and continues to do so every day) and her humour, creativity and strength is an inspiration to us all.

    She is a future leader of the next generation and we couldn’t do this work without her.

  • Elizabeth Lovius

    ADVISOR

    Elizabeth is an international speaker, author, award winning trainer and social entrepreneur.

    For over 25 years, she has worked across most business sectors as an enabler of real change.

    She is also a co-founder of Wise Women Ways and is passionate about helping wise women lead from the feminine in business, in community and in life.

    She brings love, wisdom and inspiration to The Sophia Network.

  • Hilary Morton

    ADVISOR

    Hilary describes herself as the mother of mothers. She has spent over 20 years supporting breastfeeding mothers, and now their grandchildren.

    Known as “Mummy Morton” by the children and staff at the secondary school she worked in for over 10 years, she has 5 grandchildren plus a few extra "grandchildren"

    She brings kindness, caring and warmth alongside the wealth of her experience to every part of The Sophia Network.

  • Ollie Jenkins

    ADVISOR

    Ollie has learnt and grown from many challenges, which have led to a rich and varied life.

    She has always been self-employed, carving out her own path, working with her creativity in many different fields. She home educated two of her children and has experience and training in the healing arts. She is currently training as a therapist.

    She’s passionate about bringing the wisdom she’s gained from her lived experience into service to others, proving the understanding, acceptance and support that wasn’t available to her when she was growing up.

    Now embracing her autumn years, she creates a safe space where she brings depth, compassion and heartfelt love to the Sophia Network.

Dedication

The Sophia Network is dedicated to the memory of Sue Rhodes, my mother. Her role as a supporter to our family will never be forgotten.
